Kitchen Cabinet Dimensions: What Actually Fits a Hong Kong Flat
Most kitchen quotes in Hong Kong are written per running foot (直呎), which tells you nothing about how much you can actually store. Before you compare prices, check these numbers against your own kitchen — they decide whether a layout works at all.

Aisle width matters as much as the cabinet run. Leave at least 900mm between two facing runs — below that, two people cannot pass and you cannot open an oven or dishwasher door fully. If your aisle is under 900mm, a single galley or an L-shape will serve you better than squeezing in a second run.
The work triangle — measured, not guessed
Sink, hob and fridge form the work triangle. Keep each leg between 1.2m and 2.7m, and the three legs together between 4m and 8m. Shorter than that and you are tripping over yourself; longer and you walk unnecessary metres every time you cook.
